How can the thin clay become dinner plate

a brief introduction to the production process of porcelain dinner plate

As you know for produce the most important raw material is kaolin which after disposes of becoming an embryo. Different factories have a different formula, according to different forming process, the embryo will be disposed of in a different way. This article will show the dinner plate production process

Firstly, molding techniques. let us divide into two types, rolling forming and slip casting. For example the flat dinner plate, all the flat plates are rolling forming, and the teapots are produced by slip casting. Forming -drying-fix the embryo -standby

Second, the firing process. Embryo after glazing can start firing. Then we can get pure white porcelain, select and classify its grade, the different grade will affect the selling price much. If you need a logo or design on the white porcelain, it will need firing twice.

Third, feet grinding. by handcraft to finish this process. As we know Japan has very strict required on this step. And nowadays porcelain dinnerware from China will do feet grinding strictly as well. This way also increase the cost but avoid bad effect when using on the table.

Finally, package. There are two choices for package way, you can use inner box and carton to package or after carton package use wood pallet. The cost basically similar. From my experience, use the inner box and outside carton will be better, cause no need does fumigation certificate. And this will save cost invisibly.
