As we can always see various logo printed on the porcelain dinnerware, did you ever think how these logos stick to the dinnerware which cannot wash out and remove?

You know there is a special procedure of in the production of dinnerware—glazing!

If you are a scrupulous person you will find that sometimes we can feel the logo when our finger touch it while sometimes cannot, obviously it is the different methods of glazing leads to this result.

Let’s deeply explain three glazing way here.

The first is “on the glaze”, that means the design is on the surface of the glaze.It is made after the firing of the porcelain embryo, after drawing design need re-firing around 800 degree,as the design is exist in the glarizonae surface its physical solidity is relatively weak, while its cost is lower and design is bright-colored.

The second is “in the glaze”, it acturally same function as “under the glaze”, they all combine the colored drawing and firing together, made the color melt into the dinnerware body to protect the design forever, as well as the porcelain exist the design is alive. While this way the cost is higher,and complex craft with dull colors.

Even all the factories in China who produce hotel and restaurant porcelain dinnerware will choose the “on the glaze” way to print design.
