First:Tempreture

 

Most factories or trader will tell you the bone china firing tempreture is 1300+ degree, this is not true. Cause above 1200 degree the bone china will be shape changed, or color yellowing. Besides, whatever kinds of porcelain dinnerware, there are three kinds temperature to select-low,middle,and high.Few factories will provide the real high tempreture porcelain for clients, of course except the honest suppliers, for different markets they will re-command appropriately. The price you offer effect the quality you can buy.What you can do is compare several suppliers and choose the one you trust most.How to compare?

 

Second: Sounds

 

Knocking on the dinnerware and listen its sounds, silvery sounds will be heard from squashy dinnerware.This sounds tell you its firing tempreture is enough.

 

Third: Shape

Long time stocking bone china will be out of shape. You can just pick up a plate and put its upside down on the table,if there is inter-space around its brim,that means it is allready deformed.

 

Forth: Color

 

As you know different formula the color will be different, there are milk white and pure white color which popular for hotel and restaurant use. But do you know that the color also will be changed for long time stock products, and different batch the color usually will be little different,it is hard to avoid in any manufacturer.Low firing tempreture dinnerware color shows dully yellow, and surface not shining enough.

 

Fifth: bone powder percent

 

The bone china formula contain bone powder, usually factories will tell you their products bone powder is 10% percent, actually less than 5%, this way they can earn more profit.Cow and pig’s bone powder will be used in the bone china,human bone powder is the best. This is true. And bone china is transparent,good looking,but as it is too thin and will burn our hands accidentally.

 

Sixth:resistant to scratch

 

I saw many Chinese supplier on their Alibaba website claim that their bone china can use for more than 8000+++ or 5000++++ times, actually it is meaningless, normally new dinnerware can use 1-2 years, and there will be appear large surface scratch, 4-5 star hotel will consider to change them to new ones.

 

Seventh:Grind the feet

 

Japan supplier on this aspect is better than China, although China is the largest exporter of porcelain dinnerware. This step is also important as good feet grind will not lacerate our finger and destroy the table cloth.it needs handcraft, some factories want to save cost and did not do this work in attention.

 

Eighth:Repair

 

You know the final step of the porcelain dinnerware production is select and repair. The common quality classification are A grade,B grade,AB grade,C grade. Some dinnerware have crack on surface, there will be professional artisan to do repair work,and avoid throw away to decrease the yield.
